Please join us for an informal discussion on the state of the photographer’s portfolio in the digital age, and to see samples of printing and custom binding options that are now available. We are excited to announce that we will have two special guests for our round-table discussion: Photo-editor/photographer/Salaam Garage workshop leader Maggie Soladay and Bookbinder Judith Ivry.
Directions to the studio: 119 8th Street (bet. 2nd and 3rd Aves in Brooklyn): We are located 2 blocks from the F, G, M or R trains at the 4th Avenue/9th Street stop. Upon exiting the subway station, walk down the hill on 9th street and turn right on 3rd Avenue. Walk one block and turn left on 8th Street. We on the right hand side of the street, at 119 8th Street, almost all the way at the end of the block towards 2nd Avenue. Dial 210 on the buzzer.

CLIC GALLERY presents SMASH HIS CAMERA: THE NOTORIOUS PHOTOGRAPHS OF RON GALELLA
Ron Gallela is, simply put, the most famous celebrity photographer of all time. Calling himself "the bandit of images," Galella has snapped every celebrity of importance since the 1960s, in photographs that are unrehearsed, unposed, and often hilariously candid. In the past few years, Galella has become recognized as one of the foremost chroniclers of twentieth century America, and his photographs are now in the permanent collection of the The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Tate Modern in London, and the Helmut Newton Foundation Gallery in Berlin.
At the opening, Mr. Galella will also be signing copies of his books VIVA L'ITALIA, NO PICTURES!, MICHAEL JACKSON: THE MAN IN THE MIRROR, WARHOL BY GALELLA and many others.

Michael Mazzeo Gallery is pleased to present Down These Mean Streets, an installation of photographs and ephemera by the American documentary photographer and writer, Will Steacy. This is the artist’s first solo exhibition at the gallery.

The exhibition is accompanied by a 16 page color tabloid newspaper full of photographs, journal entries, notes and maps. 50 of these newspapers will include a signed and numbered, original 8 x 10 inch print from the series.
NYCSALT, a non-profit photography program whose mission is to engage inner-city teenagers by inspiring, empowering and showing them show to contribute to NYC culture is holding their summer show and biannual fundraiser at Sputnick Gallery, 547 W. 27th, 5th floor from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Limited Edition Prints will be for sale.
